Synopsis :
L'histoire est celle d'une ravissante étudiante (Erika Sawajiri) qui va se trouver impliquée dans des événements de disparitions subites d'enfants au voisinage d'une gare.

Mon avis :
Voici un film que j'attendais avec impatience. Pour le plaisir de voir jouer Erika Sawajiri dans un film fantastique d'horreur et se donner la chance de la voir répliquer à la remarquable Aya Sugimoto. J'ai aussi beaucoup aimé la prestation de Chinatsu Wakatsuki, que je ne connaissais pas encore. Le film est fluide, avec de nombreux cadrages permettant d'apprécier pleinement la qualité de jeu des actrices. La trame s'installe progressivement, mais elle se renforce sérieusement dans la seconde moitié du film, basculant les actrices dans un cauchemard épouventable. Cette réalisation à été particulièrement protectioniste envers l'image de Erika Sawajiri et ses images ont pris le pas sur les visions d'horreurs qui ne sont cantonnées qu'à la fin du film ou furtivement dans des images flash-back. La façon dont est exposée la psychologie des personnages est envoutante. J'ai beaucoup aimé ce film dans sa globalité, surprenant résultat et vraiment agréable à visionner.

yes this is a surprizing movie. I will say that I heard about this movie a few days before Xmass and was really excited to see it soon. Erika have a great role and she's becoming a great actress, having seriously improved her dramatic skill all long her previous movies and dramas.

the excitement was also from the career intersection of Erika and the unbelievable Aya Sugimoto, one of the most talentuous and versatile japanse actress I've ever seen. never I would have considered seeing both in a same movie.

the movie is horrific but I've found Erika's role have been preserved all long the story. I can't say more but the opposit method was applied on Aya Sugimoto's character. she is disable in the story, who could believe she could play a role with a damaged face ?

I went down to my favourite DVD store in Chinatown and picked up a number of DVD’s. When the owner saw me with Ghost Train he smiled and said the subtitles were very bad.
I said, “That would be okay…anything is better than nothing”.
He said, “No that’s not true”
Next time I will listen better. The subtitles were a hoot, they were so hard to follow. This is what I think happened; the film had been translated from Japanese to Chinese, then from Chinese to English…and I wouldn’t be surprised if they used BabelFish to do the whole thing. I cannot begin to explain how challenging this film became to watch. For example Chinatsu Wakatsuki was refer to as “fragrant seed”, The little girl Noriko was called “ son of”…that sort of thing. Not that this was a bad thing though…the subtitles add far more intrigue than the story itself!

I did like the three main leads. And like best chemistry said, it was wonderful to see Aya Sugimoto. Erika Sawajiri was a joy to watch, very cute and convincingly earnest too. The person I liked best though was Chinatsu Wakatsuki, as she had the more complex role(IMHO). I did not find it a frightening film, but the relationship between the women worked well for me.
