Biographie

Native de Hong Kong, Cecilia Cheung a fait ses études en Australie et s'exprime couramment en anglais, cantonais et mandarin. Son père appartenant aux triades, quittera le foyer familial pour s’investir encore plus dans son activité criminelle alors que Cecilia n’a que 10 ans. Afin de continuer ses études, elle part en Australie à l’âge de 14 ans et les financent grâce à un petit emploi de serveuse dans le chinatown local. Elle ne les terminera pas et, manquant à sa famille restée à Hong Kong, elle préférera y retourner vers 1998.

C’est cette même année qu’elle commence sa carrière dans le show business. Elle commencera par une publicité pour du thé, où elle se fera remarquée par un agent. Puis, elle est contactée par Stephen Chow qui la fera jouer dans King Of Comedy. Dans le rôle d’une hôtesse de bar, Cecilia va impressionner par son naturel et sa beauté. Ce film suffit à faire de Pak Chi une star d’envergure, une position qu’elle va encore renforcer avec le temps grâce à des choix de carrière avisés. Pourtant, la jeune femme avouera ne pas être très satisfaite de sa performance d’actrice dans le film. Elle aura vite l’occasion de prouver ses capacités en la matière avec son second rôle, dans Fly Me To Polaris.

La continuation de sa carrière d’actrice est à l’image de ses débuts fracassants, marquée du sceau du succès commercial et artistique. Les succès commerciaux les plus éclatants, ce seront les comédies Wu Yen ou Mighty Baby. Une bonne douzaine de films suivront : The Legend Of Zu, Lost In Time, Failan ou Running on Karma qui vaudra à Cecilia le prestigieux Hong Kong Film Award 2004 de la meilleure actrice.
Rien ne semble pouvoir arrêter son ascension et, si elle continue sur cette voie, il ne fait aucun doute qu’elle deviendra une des plus grandes stars que l’ex colonie ait eue.

Avec sa carrière de chanteuse lancée en parallèle, Cecilia Cheung s'est également fait un nom dans la musique, avec plusieurs CD à son actif, dont “Any Weather”, sorti en 1999, un enregistrement live en concert et “Cecilia Party All the Time”.

sushimi, visiblement on doit l'avoir cette actrice dans deux films, The legend of Zu et Shaloin soccer. c'est bien de faire les fiches actrices, ça aide pas mal au visionnage quand on ne connait pas, dans le sens reconnaitre les traits du visage.

don't think I'm out of reality, but please do not post a single unofficial picture of Cecilia Cheung for undeterminate period. if you don't know what is unofficial or have a doubt, don't post it anyway.

I think Cecilia will enjoy people to support her, not people to drag her in sticky mud.

This is not a fake or some mud slinging campaign, Cecilia Cheung thought it would be cool to let Edison Chen video and photo her and him having sex and now it has gotten out to the public. I do not know anything about her or most of the other HK actresses, but I only came across this because of word that one of the people who has most definitely been spreading the pics/videos, has stated that he has proof of Chen and Chiaki having sex.

Worse, is the fool has taken on the log-on of Kira from Death Note, and then followed the Anime/Manga, to the letter! Which means he's a wack-job, but upon further review of Chen, I find him to be an odd-ball as well. I just posted on the Chiaki Kuriyama Fandom, "How does a man, mysteriously FORGET, that he has 1300 pieces of PERSONAL PORN, on his LAPTOP!?!?"

Answer? HE DOESN'T!

As I have done a little reading into this Edisen Chen, I have found that he really is the proto-typical bad boy, arrogant male stud muffin. And yes I said stud muffin! I honestly believe that this guy did this on purpose, thinking it would be cool to let the little tech-dude's fixing his laptop, see how much of a mack he is, but he never figured they would put it on the internet! AND, that some nutcase would get a hold of all of the images and vids and then use them to literally DESTROY HIM, AND, THE WOMEN HE SLEPT WITH!

Now the situation is wayyyy out of control! But I am noticing that the women, are really, REALLY! Getting hammered far more then this jerk who was careless with something that they trusted him to keep confidential! I am absolutely, AB-SA-F**KIN-LUTELY SURE! That at one point or another Chen had to know that when his laptop broke, he KNEW he had these intimate and private photos on that thing! He LIVES in HK, he KNOWS what the society is like there, he SHOULD HAVE DESTROYED THE LAPTOP and accepted the fact that the memories and events contained therein, were given to him by these women in the interest of that moment and clearly it showed some level of trust on their part towards him, TO NOT LET THEM GET OUT TO THE PUBLIC!

It is crystal clear, when this is looked at, in its proper contexts, that Chen's EGO AND LIBIDO! Were MORE IMPORTANT, than the potential CAREERS AND REPUTATIONS of the women involved in the vids and pics! This dude is absolute SCUM, and I don't hear or see, a soul calling him on the carpet in this manner, where it shows that he was given the trust of these women, knowing what could happen if it got out, and he let his head below his waist, think for him! DUMB! SCUM!

Very well said geesehoward...your focus on Edison is correct. He is a low level fool...and yes scum comes to mind... and he may well have cost many of these women their careers. I still think this scandal may well come back to bite him on the ass big time though. He has implicated some very high level people... Emperor Entertainment mogal Albert Yeung is now personally involved since Vincy Yeung is his niece. This is a man you do not want to cross...he has the power to end your HK entertainment career, and he has alleged ties to the Triads...I would not want to be Edison right now...accidents can happen, and people who f**K with the triads have short life spans. For what it is worth, I am actually very deeply saddened by the stupidity of this man, because I have met and know more than enough East Asian women who want to be able to be judged the same way as their male counterparts... and are not. Incidents like this... often times ends not only the woman's career, but can impact her on all levels, including in her socio-personal interactions, and listen to me sounding like a moron.

It affects her dating chances. Relationships, dating and marriage for East Asian women, is still a huge, MANDATORY REQUIREMENT, in their society, to be seen as a "successful" or "good woman". This fool has really put them out there in such a way that any man in their society could always turn and point to the fact that they were secretively having wild sex and being "lose" or "unfaithful/untrustworthy", by engaging in these behind the back, romps with Chen.

Living in the society that he lives in, Chen should have known that he couldn't let something like this leak out, get out, or whatever! I am actually very angry with him for being such an irresponsible idiot, knowing that these ladies cannot afford such public scrutiny...
