Oui tu as sans doute raison, en 2000 Chiaki Kuriyama venait tout juste de rentrer dans l'esprit des gens avec son personnage invraissemblable de Gogo Yubari dans Kill Bill. La pluspart des photos de cette époque la montre avec cette boule en acier ou un sabre, les photos avec un révolver sont moins courantes, c'est vrai.

Concernant le second volet de MPD Psycho, je ne sais pas si on fera une fiche ici, Chiaki n'est vivante dans ce film que les trois premières minutes, c'est peu pour ovationner un film. On verra bien, si on a le temps, c'est pas un film exceptionnel. Toute la série (trois volets) a été tournée pour la TV.

Chiaki a fait cadeau tout dernièrement de son image pour la promotion d'une exposition sur l'art grec. Faut se rendre à l'évidence, nous l'avons loupée. Par contre je n'arrive pas a comprendre dans l'article si elle a effectivement posé à coté de quelques oeuvres exposées au musée du Louvre.

I think that Chiaki Kuriyama has given up on her dream of becoming an International Star. Her earlier interviews use to be very upbeat and positive and the last one that I read was downright depressing. She still hasn't learned enough English to even hope to land roles in Western Movies unless they're specifically tailored and I don't think that her agency Space Craft is really helping her.
I believe that she has such great potential and she has clearly stated that she hoped to be discovered in the West, but somehow she didn't seem to realize that she had an opportunity, but she didn't capitolize on it. I only mention all of this because I am a fan and I am non-Japanese. Seeing her roles as a non-Japanese fan is very difficult, especially whenever she does a TV-Drama. She did Queen Bee at the top of this year and Woman Island where she was actually a very friendly and funny character.
The more digging I've done and the more Japanese fans I've talked to of hers, some have blatantly pointed the finger squarely at Space Craft for failing to capitolize on the press opportunities that Kill Bill gave her, ESPECIALLY in America. As a fan I hope that she does well, but after learning about the Japanese Entertainment Industries setup and then just learning about the cost of living in Japan and that the agency gets a percentage and the actor, especially actresses, are basically along for the ride... it explained why she missed out and why Zhang Ziyi has not.
