Miki Fujimoto Starring! Award Winning Role in Play!

Article in Sponichi Entertainment web site, which is remarkably factual and straightforward source considering most Japanese newspapers and magazines are created for excitement of public rather than passing of important information, anyway this article reports that Miki Fujimoto is contracted to play the lead role in the modern Japanese play Hakana, starting April at the respected Tokyo Meijiza Theater.

Article describes her as making transition from recent time of complete attention to romantic love (with boyfriend, comedian Shoji Satoshi), now she is complete attention on her new work. This play is difficult challenge for actress! some other actress named Ikawa, ten years older than Fujimoto, she began this play several years ago in this lead role and won a theatrical prize, so acting in this play is a great opportunity for Fujimoto's development of acting competency.

Article briefly mentions her resignation from Morning Musume nine months ago, and relationship with Satoshi, and reminds us that she did no work during that period, but now she decided to start her solo singing career again and acting too. Article says something like "relationship with Shoji is cooler now than in the past, because she is seriously working on new career and new capabilities. This play is based on a Japanese folk story, in which the title character Hakan (played by Fujimoto) is a highest-class courtesan in the capital city of historic Japan, but no one knows that she is also a woman constructed of parts of corpses, and animated with the soul of a child! She can capture the minds of men and create their love for her, but she cannot touch them with her body or they will die. I personally think this is very interesting story, I wish I can see this play especially with Fujimoto playing this lead character, but I cannot have time and funds to return to Japan until next year this time!

that's rather a cool perspective. Miki in real play on theater, it's not the easier way but I think she's able to handle theis challenge. little I've seen her in a movie was correct. theater is more difficult than acting on movies.

This is Japanese blog featuring play Hakana, describes over time first and subsequent rehearsals for play, also that cast members are very happy to work together and like this play very much! I wish I can be there to see this play and make applause for one certain friend! impossible, especially with illness now, but I shall think of Fujimoto's happiness frequently!

Wow, latest news about good casting! Japanese production of American musical Grease starring Miki Fujimoto as Rizzo, is fine character for Fujimoto! demanding much skill!

The hit Broadway musical "Grease" is being performed in Tokyo later this year, and it was announced on Friday that rising actor Toma Ikuta is playing the lead part of Danny Zuko. His supporting cast includes Sayaka Kanda as his girlfriend Sandy, former Morning Musume member Miki Fujimoto as the Pink Ladies leader Rizzo, and Musical Academy member Tomoyuki Yara as Kenickie. The production opens at the Aoyama Theatre on October 20 and will finish up in Osaka during November.

Resign from Morning Musume and negotiate away from Hello!Project, this is probably best career decision Fujimoto has made in recent years. My opinion, of course opinion is like bellybutton, everyone has.
