Aya Matsuura (Japan)

Hi, sakura! I think Matsuura will easily become significant jazz pop singer in the future. Her new album just released called Naked Songs is mostly jazz versions of songs, some are previous cute silly pop songs that she has made again in a new style. But she has also recorded one song by Norah Jones and other new songs, her style is very grown up now! I don't know if you heard Matsuura's song "The Last Night" which is on album X3 but maybe you will like this song very much!

I like some of her cute silly pop songs too, I can't help it! I am Japanese and I like cute! My favorite of these is "Love Chance!" but "Dokidoki Love Mail" makes me feel very happy too...

because Aya started her singer career when she was a child. I've seen a Youtube clip of her in the Hello ! Project audition, so we should be aware of the wonderful voice transformation between this earlier period and nowaday. almost every young singer have a stock of "silly" songs in their beginning repertory, that doesn't disturb me more than that. it's good to have such diversity, Aya is winning the race because she is able to touch a wide range of fans now with kid/cute songs and mature jazzy songs... and she's so pretty.

I have now a lot of her song videos, live performances, some talks and funny TV appearences. the "making of" Sukeban deka is also really amazing.

we have started to watch a TV show staring Aya Matsuura and Miki Fujimoto, named Moero ! manner-bu. kind of funny short vignettes about how to have good manners in some various situations (mostly about meal time).

that's funny entertainment and we have laught so much, especially in the missed sequences who are pooled together making short transitions between the vignette succession. both Aya and Miki are totally adorable. it's obvious they are best friends, there are many gentle hand posing and some kisses too.

there are two volume of this compilation.
doesn't need any special conditions to enjoy the show.

Hi, kawaii-hime! I have seen some short video segments like this! Fujimoto and Matsuura are very funny together! Sometimes they dress up as office ladies, sometimes they wear nurse costume, sometimes they wear costume of Angel and Devil! very cute!

I watched Kohaku TV show on New Year Eve! Matsuura and Fujimoto performed one song as GAM duet, they were very fine! also other Hello!Project singers were performing, including all Morning Musume girls. This Kohaku uta gassen TV show is very famous in Japan for over 50 years, always New Year singing competition between women and men singers, we can watch this show on Japanese TV in Los Angeles too but of course 17 hours later time zone! hi Fumiko, do you think we could have a chance to find DVD releases of theses broadcasting shows ? both are simply delicious in the two pictures you've posted. wanna enjoy the show too!

I think we should wait a while, all these fansites or forums dedicated to Aya's work will certainly release this show (and others). it's just a question of time (well have plenty of time).

I've reached Aya's album Naked songs. will start listen it next week end, I'm currently full for the moment.

many thanks for this initiative, that's a quite sweet addition to Aya's videos we have found. watching her singing in a live performance is pure delightful (should we call that "pleasure ?"). the first song was on the Folk song release, I love this one but I've never heard the second song yet.

you won't believe me, I've found the "Happy Christmas and New year eve" TV show featuring Aya Matsuura and Maki Goto... but it was not the last one you was talking about in this topic with Aya and Miki Fujimoto. we've got the 2005 session. one year delay, not so bad, could have been worse.

both are wearing a beautiful white dress and have some sort of stylish feathers assortment in hair brush and nails. my little finger told me that this show will soon find new happy watchers.
