Passion - English (Translated by myfinalf8heaven) wonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen I
If I recall, far far away The future was shining on everywhere Beneath the beautiful blue sky We were just a little afraid
The window will be tinted A nostalgic color
If we advance forth, can we ever meet again? The future goes on to everywhere Beneath the large signboard I want to keep watching the eras changing
I will open a window To the people and places I can't see again
If I recall, far far away The future was shining on everywhere Beneath the beautiful blue sky We were slumbering forever
The person I liked long ago I heard will bear a child in winter What were decided since long ago I sometimes would want to doubt them The ones I could never forget Would the New Year's card have photographs attached? What to us could not be done I will think very fondly of them
(All my fears and all our lies)
Beneath the blue sky... _________________ there's something in this world that's more painful than death, it's letting you go... i think i can get anything in this world if i had enough money but, i can't buy time.... should i ask you to wait until i can get into your heart! |

| I wish I can understand everything you write here, I am very interested! but I will learn over time. I think Utada is one of The Four Great Voices of Japan, this is something I made up not an official title from government or from Oricon, okay?

I think The Four Great Voices of Japan are:
Namie Amuro (R&B, Pop, Hip Hop) Hikaru Utada (R&B, Pop, experimental music) Tomiko Van (Pop, Jazz, Blues) Aya Matsuura (Pop, Jazz, Folk Songs) |

| fumi, I summarize for you what have been wrote previously. how to apologize that I don't know who are the three other female singers you proposed. (you can start a topic, as we could find something and should be in phase with you)
yes, Hikaru is an extraordinary artist indeed. cute, inteligent and talentous. she have a very precious voice, making her one of the most important girl in the Jpop screen actually.
Hikki have chance to speak as well japanese and english and the most dazzling input she makes is to add english words in japanes texts. how clever idea. Hikki's japanese songs are universal now. almost everyone could fall in love listening them.
Hikki was one of the first japanese artist I discover when I was searching for something else than the classical imposed western sound (or related). to be honest, the first songs I've heared were not very convincing but I have spent time listening a full sample of her songs and then meet some of her beautiful standarts. her repertory, especially her first songs were a bit western sounding, that was not what I was seeking for. but now, she include many songs whitch sounds like nothing else. songs like Sakura drops, Passion, Deep river, Colors, Be my last, Keep trying are pure innovative compositions. in the next year I'm sure people will go a bit ahead on Hikki's investigation, her new musical fields.
Hikki's voice is perhaps one of the more sensual female voice I've ever heard. an amazing composition of warm and suede presence, kinda direct link with her heart (and/or her soul).
when I listen some of her songs, I have the impression that Hikki is singing only for me, and she wants me to be her friend. amazing really, there are not so many who becomes so close to me with a song.
I'm not trully interested in R&B music, but the incredible song Automatic is in a permanent place of my playlist. How possible ? because Hikki's have done some very imaginative vocal job on it. result is better than good. Hikki's fans are now ranged as wide as possible.
other point exposed is the wonderful karaoke video of the song Hikari (simple and clean). well, it's not an hard task to say that this is perhaps the most incredible song of her repertory. I've invited members to find somewhere this video, the one she's washing dishes. so cute on it.
other point is that we don't like at all the stupid website where is exposed some discusting photos of Jpop artists. we dislike insulters and those supporting them, wathever the pretext or justification they could write.
the last point in date was to open a short discussion about the visual theme (girl/girl) of the Colors video. we don't know the signification of this symbol, I guess we'll need to check the lyric of it to have spark of a clue.
fumi, once again, what are your prefered song ?
(pics were capts from the rush before the Budokan concert 2004)
