Lee Soo Young, de son vrai nom Lee Ji Yeon, est une chanteuse Coréenne connue pour ses ballades. Elle a fait ses débuts en 1999 avec son hit I Believe. Elle a sept albums à son actif et quatre mini-albums et a participé à six bandes originales de films. En 2001, elle a chanté une version figurant sur Final Fantasy X, intitulée Suteki Da Ne (en coréen Olmana jauhul ka). Récemment, elle a sorti son septième album, Grace, en janvier 2006, où l'on peut voir Lee Jun Ki.

Elle est reconnue en dans son pays pour sa voix puissante et elle apparait rarement dans ses propres clips, mais elle est très populaire. Elle participe également à un grand nombre d'émissions de variétés, et aujourd'hui, elle est considérée comme l'une des plus célèbre chanteuse de ballade en Corée, à tel point qu'elle est même surnommée la Reine des Ballades.

je connais la chanson Grace, c'est vrai que vocalement elle a une voix puissante, je la vois régulièrement dans les émissions.... par contre, je n'accroche pas spécialement au niveau de sa musique.....

j'ai vu également l'un de ses clips Gwanghwamun Love, extrait de la série Winter Sonata, où l'on peut voir l'actrice Han Ji-Hye. Un morceau calme, que j'ai préféré à Grace.

Hello Mood,

I have not seen many videoclips of her yet. Only one, this is the Debt (aka La la la) song, which is a very elaborated video, better than a short movie. The song is nice, once again the couple "song + touching movie" is used to promote the production. I'll do some deeper investigations about this movie soon.

Singer Lee Soo-young Invited to Korean Music Festival in London

Singer Lee Soo-young has been invited to the Korean Music Festival to be held in London, England on May 1 at 7:30 p.m. She will perform to the accompaniment of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

The cultural event marks a friendship year between Korea and Britain entitled Think Korea 2006, which aims to enhance exchange and understanding between the two countries. Think Korea 2006 kicked off at the Asia House in London on February 23.

Lee will present “Grace” from her 7th album as well as other songs. After taking part in the event, she will give another concert on May 24 with fellow Korean singers Big Mama, SG Wannabe and Vibe to the accompaniment of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Lee will leave for London on April 30.

Think Korea 2006 was planned in accordance with an agreement between President Roh Moo-hyun and British Prime Minister Tony Blair reached during the Korean president’s state visit to Britain in 2004. This year, events on traditional Korean culture, art and technology will be held in Britain and in turn, Britain will host a variety of events in Korea next year.”
