Cheeky Chinatsu worried sick over Japan's big breast obsession

Wakatsuki has been known to nip jugs jokes in the bud.Worries about her far-from-ample bosom may be about to see celebrity Chinatsu Wakatsuki's promising career go, well, bust, according to Shukan Asahi (12/22).

Wakatsuki, a regular on six TV programs courtesy of her sometimes sharp tongue and occasional comical naivety, has put her career on hold since Nov. 4, when she reported a high fever and severe diarrhea.

Subsequent reports have revealed she's also afflicted with neurotic gastritis and ulcerative colitis, both nerve disorders brought on by stress, which her handlers said was caused by a grueling work schedule.

But not everybody's convinced and the unbelievers are tittering that the causes of Wakatsuki's worries hang in a different direction. The knockers say the key to realizing why Wakatsuki is stressed out lies in comments she made after being asked about what she really hated during the Oct. 14 filming of a TV program aired on Nov. 17.

"Whenever I appear on a TV show together with someone like (buxom pin-up girls) Aki Hoshino or Yoko Kumada, I make absolutely sure that I always wear a long-sleeved shirt. I really, really hate it when people tease me about my boobs," Shukan Asahi quotes Wakatsuki as saying. "Everybody sees breasts as looking delicious, but I've never once in my life thought boobs are delicious at all. And I hate boob jokes."

Of course, the other performers appearing on the show with her, including Sanma Akashiya, immediately began ripping into Wakatsuki about the dearth of her bust. But Wakatsuki remained totally serious.

"Women are always made to flaunt what they've got or run around when they don't need to just so cameras can focus on their bobs jiggling around," the weekly quotes Wakatsuki saying to her taunters. "For a girl, seeing these things can be a real shock."

Wakatsuki is certainly not overly endowed in the bust department, but has been widely praised for her shapely buttocks. Nonetheless, surprisingly for somebody who has gone through the entertainment world ranks via the pin-up market, Wakatsuki hates doing swimsuit shots.

"Outside of work, I've never gone to the beach or places where you strip down once in my life. When I was doing pin-up work, I kinda had to pad my bra, but when I'm away from work, I don't want people going around saying things like 'She puts pads in her bra,'" Shukan Asahi quotes Wakatsuki telling the TV program. "It's best to be natural. But there are times when there's a pretty big gap between what nature gives you and what people have seen you with before, so you have to give them what they expect. this article seems to highlight some dark parts of the subject in Asia. plastic surgery is a prosper business and things will go well as long as people feel bad because of differences between their own physical aspect and beauty standarts. I'm sad for Chinatsu, but she is young, and I remember having such bad feelings when I was younger. actually I don't car my breast being so ridiculously small. I'm not tall (1m53) and I find myself handsome now.

I would like to add something. we've been watching the korean movie Time (2006) and for the second time a movie is dealing with plastic surgery, we've saw a scene where potential clients are being officially scared by the doctor, with scary bad eventualities or bloody surgeon table videos. I think this is part of the succes, trying to make their clients change their mind by themselves.

It is always similar, one has right to a great pressure of the media to show us what is an ideal woman, as much in proportion that in pure esthetics. But everyone knows that this ideal is distant reality of the women, always further in a direction which is not nature.

Alerting Side Effects of Breast Implants!

A plastic surgeon operating in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul had to send a 20-year-old female patient back home for she requested a surgery using a 'cohesive silicone gel' that has not been permitted for medical use. The doctor recommended the conventional saline breast implant but the patient refused and said the texture wasn't good. "It is no use telling patients that silicone gel surgery is illegal. Rather they argue that other hospitals do it and how come I don't," explained the plastic surgeon.

These days illegal breast implants using silicone gels are rapidly spreading in the Gangnam area, but the Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) that oversees the matter can't seem to do anything about it.

At one time, silicone implants were widely used for breast enhancements but as potential side effects like tears and rips that can lead to immuno-deficiencies came to light, the U.S. FDA banned its use in 1992.

Accordingly, a new 'cohesive silicone gel' that is made of solid material and doesn't rip or tear easily began to be recently used, but it has not been permitted for use as it has not yet passed scientific tests.

Nevertheless, some plastic surgery hospitals are using the cohesive gels saying that the texture quality is better and safer than the saline implants.

One hospital in Bundang (Gyeonggi Province) is advertising that the cohesive gels are likely to be officially imported to Korea and if patients request, they will do the surgery. Another hospital in Gangam says that they will provide a pain-free surgery.

A doctor who is actually providing this type of surgery says, "Over half of the plastic surgery hospitals in the Gangnam area are using cohesive silicone gels for breast implants."

The doctors and hospitals using the cohesive gels argue that they are harmless to the human body, unlike the previous saline implants.

Another plastic surgeon explains that cohesive gels are widely used in over 90% of hospitals in Europe and other countries, except for Korea and the United States.

"There have been no clinical trial repots on the safety of cohesive gels," argued the KFDA.

Another surgeon pointed out that, "If side effects occur after receiving breast implants using cohesive gels, patients can't receive any form of compensation."

As the cohesive silicone gels are flowing into Korea without following any import procedures, this poses a concern for defective products from entering as well.

"The cohesive gels are usually brought into Korea from doctors who went overseas to attend a seminar or makes the purchases themselves," said another plastic surgeon based on anonymity.

"Cohesive gels made from U.S.-based companies like Inamed and French-based EURO Silicone are mostly used but recently, Chinese implants are rumored to being used."

The cost for surgery using cohesive silicones is about KW 6 million~8 million, whereas it is KW 5 million for saline breast implants.

interesting article indeed. at least our knowlegde is enhanced a bit more. I've found a few articles about real danger of silicone gel and I still don't understand why this technique is not banned once for ever. looking at the cost, silicone is much more expensive than saline implants. silicone is risky, expensive but gives a more natural rendering, just wondering about the cost of safety in some special case is honestly put in the balance.

je ne suis pas trop bien informée sur cette partie, je ne peux pas te dire si la demande est simplement de gagner une taille de bonnet ou plusieurs. c'est clair que pour une petite augmentation, la poche saline est parfaite, mais pour sauter de bonnet A à bonnet F en une seule opération, le résultat ne doit pas être fantastique, au niveau du rendu réaliste.

how unfair this story is, I'll be atomised if it happens to me. Naoko is a natural beauty, we can see on this picture that she's an ordinary young woman, no heavy makeup or stylish hairbrussing. this is the standart of natural beauty in my opinion.

althouth, none expect her to have a geisha makeup for this promotional picture design, the Jaxa and japanese flag on the uniform could have been antagonist somewhere.
