Adorenarin doraibu (1999)
Aka : Adrenaline Drive
Realisateur : Shinobu Yaguchi
Cast : Hikari Ishida || Masanobu Ando
Musique :
Thème : romance || comedie || drame
Synopsis : A gentle, yet disenchanted car rental boy accidentally hits a Jaguar driven by a Yakuza thug. With little options but to obey the bully’s instructions, the boy is taken back to the gangs hideout to settle repair costs. While there, a bomb blast destroys the building and our naïve clerk is the only survivor. First to the scene of destruction is a geeky young nurse who had been heading home from work. The two young misfits walk out of the den with a little over 1,000,000 yen in laundered money. Their road is not an easy one… as they not only discover love for the first time, they also discover that the Yakuza want their money back. Time to run!
Mon avis : Director Shinobu Yaguchi also directed Swing Girls (2004), he has an obvious knack for conveying youthful exuberance, insecurity and passion. Adrenaline Drive is a wonderful film, where we see two young adults discover themselves and each other. It’s a love story with a twist…a twist of adrenaline. Firing on all cylinders the pace is fast and full of tension as the two evade the ruthless Yakuza and navigate the potholes of relationship bliss too. Theirs is not an easy road.
I cannot recall a film with two more likable characters; Hikari Ishida and Masanobu Ando are terrific with Hikari Ishida reminding me often of Bae Doo Na’s character Son in Linda, Linda, Linda. Her subtle expressions of concern and understanding are brilliant. Both actors show depth, beauty and passion throughout…I just loved this film. Absolutely no nudity, and very little violence…I highly recommended this film and can happily say that it is suitable for all audiences.
As an added note, I would like to say that Masanobu Ando was the evil character Kazuo Kiriyama in Battle Royale...two such different roles I cannot imagine!

| I have found matter to make a good topic for Hikari Ishida, she is not a beginner nor a unknown artist in Japan. I have seen that she appears in many drama or movies, but I have never seen one of them yet.
pretty good occasion, as I can see she is a beautiful young actress and the storyboard seems attractive for me. |

| Hello Prisoner,
watching your captures, I can see Hikaru Ishida being a sweet actress and I think this could be fun to watch the movie. sometime, little movies appears being very good shows, even if they are not truly popular. I have in mind the beautiful Sayonara Midori-chan, who is a rare pearl but little known.
although, there is violence zero. cool, we need some Hello Kitty movies to conterbalance the chaos of our selection.
I've just noticed the male actor, he was indeed the damnitt psychopath punk in Battle royale.
