C'est peut être assez frustrant dans ce genre de film de se contenter d'une seule vue sur grand écran. Sin city est un film qu'il faut voir plusieurs fois pour l'apprécier pleinement, voir à imaginer que ça n'a pas fait gonfler la fréquentation des cinémas à la sortie de ce film.

Now you know why pirated VCD/DVD are so rampant in this country. Are Malaysians not matured and not open-minded enough to watch the above-mentioned movies? What is the use of film classification that is currently in force now? I think it’s time for Film Censorship Board of Malaysia to review the current film classification...

I agree with you mood , u're totally right censorship office have to review all its classification even in Europe I think !!

Ce film est sortit au Quebec mais je m'attendais a beaucoup mieux, malheureusement. Je me suis fais dire que le regarder seule que jallais beaucoup mieux le comprendre. Je vais le relouer...

I was wondering what is the different between the ori movies and those of pirated wan. Do they still censored the one they release on VCD/DVD

in my personal opinion, sometimes i am quite dissappointed to the quality of some ori DVDs, especially those distributed and made by speedy video. recently i bought an ori DVDs of DRAGON TIGER GATE from speedy video, i think even some pirated DVDs quality is better than it. NO DTS ES soundtrack, no WIDESCREEN 16:9, NO SPECIAL FEATURES and etc. (most of these elements are the most crucial to instill the consumer to buy the ORIGINAL) really sucks !!!

ok I ask cause...(hehe wanna admit oso malu but I sometime download movies I didnt watch on the cinema instead of buying the DVDs..)

If the Malay government just encourage us to buy ori through the tagline "BUY ORIGINAL, SEE ORIGINAL", without quality enhancenment and improvement of locally produced ori DVDs, i think that is quite hard to attract consumers to buy the original one.

If vcd I prefer the pirate one cause not censored and clear one (if old or rare movies). New one I didnt buy cause they all recorded at cinema even dvd ~!

J'ai le même impression que toi. Il semble qu'une des chaines de distribution dans leur pays vend des copies pirates en toute légalité. Ca mérite quelques éclaircissements je pense.

According to Scotsman.com News, Shanghai DVD pirates are concerned about the quality of their "product". Apparently the first pirated copy of the DaVinci code movie was of pretty poor quality. Just days after its release, the illegal copy had reached vendors in China. The low quality was blamed on the fact that the pirate copy first originated elsewhere than China. Better quality pirated DVDs are expected to be out within a month.

I heard about chinese DVD being cheaper on local market.
IMHO, this should certainly be closely related to this phenomen you are talking about.
